Il progetto \u00e8 iniziato ufficialmente il <strong>1\u00b0 gennaio 2025<\/strong> e proseguir\u00e0 fino al <strong>31 dicembre 2028<\/strong>, con l\u2019ambizioso obiettivo di trasformare l\u2019utilizzo delle risorse geotermiche a bassa temperatura e del calore di scarto industriale in energia pulita e sostenibile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sviluppare la prossima generazione di tecnologia ORC per applicazioni a bassa temperatura<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sebbene le fonti energetiche ad alta temperatura (&gt;150\u202f\u00b0C) siano ampiamente utilizzate, gran parte dell\u2019energia non sfruttata in Europa si trova in serbatoi a bassa temperatura (&lt;150\u202f\u00b0C). Queste fonti sono abbondanti, ma poco utilizzate a causa di sfide tecniche ed economiche.<br><strong>EMPOWER<\/strong> affronta questo divario sviluppando sistemi <strong>ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle)<\/strong> di nuova generazione, dotati di <strong>turbine a espansione bifase innovative<\/strong>, che promettono maggiore efficienza e un campo di applicazione pi\u00f9 ampio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un solido consorzio europeo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Guidato dalla <strong>DTU (Technical University of Denmark)<\/strong>, il progetto <strong>EMPOWER<\/strong> riunisce un consorzio di sette partner provenienti dal mondo accademico e industriale, tra cui:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Universitatea \u201cBabe\u0219\u2011Bolyai\u201d<\/strong> (Romania)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delft University of Technology<\/strong> (Paesi Bassi)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Steam SpA<\/strong> (Italia)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Exergy<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Buzzi SpA<\/strong> (Italia)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aperam Stainless Belgium<\/strong> (Belgio)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">con <strong>DTU<\/strong> nel ruolo di <strong>coordinatore del progetto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Obiettivo del progetto EMPOWER<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exergy sar\u00e0 coinvolta in diverse attivit\u00e0 chiave del progetto, tra cui:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Progettazione e analisi<\/strong> di turbine bifase di nuova generazione, esplorando configurazioni reattive innovative.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Incremento del TRL<\/strong> (Technology Readiness Level) delle turbine da 2 a 4, attraverso test di validazione in un impianto sperimentale appositamente realizzato.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fornitura di dati reali<\/strong> sulle prestazioni per la modellazione tecnico-economica e l\u2019ottimizzazione di sistemi ORC a evaporazione parziale.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coordinamento dell\u2019Analisi del Ciclo di Vita (LCA)<\/strong> per quantificare e ridurre l\u2019impatto ambientale in contesti geotermici e di recupero di calore di scarto nei settori europei del cemento e dell\u2019acciaio.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Valutazione degli impatti sociali ed economici<\/strong>, identificazione delle barriere all\u2019adozione e sviluppo di strategie per il successo sul mercato.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019approccio olistico di <strong>EMPOWER<\/strong> \u2014 che combina R&amp;S, validazione sperimentale, modellazione economica, analisi ambientale e valutazione sociale \u2014 mira a sbloccare il vasto potenziale delle risorse a bassa temperatura ancora inutilizzate, in linea
